I feel incredibly proud and priviledged to have been involved in The Closer We Get through my small contribution of additional camera towards the end of the film's production. The film was shot over several years by director Karen Guthrie and her producer and cinematographer Nina Pope, who capture an intimate portrait of Karen's family as secrets are uncovered and the past reconciled. Since premiering at Canada's prestigious HOT DOCS earlier this year where it won Best International Feature, The Closer We Get has received much praise and support. I'm sure this beautiful and moving film will continue to strike a quiet chord with all audiences who see it as it continues its festival run throughout the world.
